Food is sacred. Let’s feed each other.
SNAP benefits are being stripped away from the people who need them most, and the result is a hunger crisis nationally and in our own backyards. It’s maddening, it’s unjust, and we believe in showing up however we can.
This November, we’re donating $10 from every Cacio e Pepe Tarot deck sold to local CA food banks (details listed below), to support families struggling with access to food and with the uncertainty of SNAP benefits. This will be effective retroactively for any Cacio e Pepe decks already purchased in the first week + of November. We will publish our sales publicly and the amount raised for food banks - don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
No Purchase Needed to Make Magic
Our November campaign is about food, dignity, and connection - not sales.
If you’d rather direct your energy - and dollars - straight into community care, we’ve gathered a list of trusted California food banks and mutual aid orgs that are directly supporting families affected by the SNAP disruption.
You can help by:
Donating to one of the orgs listed below
Sharing this blog or our social media posts
Volunteering at your local pantry
Checking your cupboard for shelf-stable items to give
Compassion is collective and every action is a spell of solidarity.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t hesitate to reach out. These resources are here for you - and so are we. Use the links below to find local support. And if you'd prefer a human to talk to, feel free to email us. We’re not experts, but we’ll do everything we can to help you find what you need.
Food is a right, not a luxury. And nobody walks this path alone.
